BACKGROUND
Ms. Gentile is a mother, a special education advocate, and an attorney licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

A former preschool teacher and care provider for special education students, as an attorney Ms. Gentile has represented numerous school districts across Massachusetts in special education disputes. She has attended IEP Team meetings and manifestation determination meetings; litigated due process hearings; and given workshops on the IDEA 2004 (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act), the nation’s law that works to improve results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities. As an Educational Specialist with the Massachusetts Department of Education’s Program Quality Assurance department, Ms. Gentile advised parents and school districts on compliance with state and federal special education law.
 
Ms. Gentile also evaluated Massachusetts school districts’ special education programs and facilities to ensure quality control and compliance. Currently, Ms. Gentile advocates on behalf of special education children and their families in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
